Healthyr HbA1c + Glucose Test

Healthyr has entered a year-long partnership with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) to provide at-home testing and actionable insights aimed at creating individualized, accessible care for people at risk for (prediabetes) and those who have been diagnosed with diabetes.

In 2019, 37.3 million people in the United States had diabetes. Of those, 28.7 million were diagnosed, while an additional 8.5 million Americans were undiagnosed. With more than 1.4 million people diagnosed each year, those numbers are expected to increase, along with the total cost of diagnosed diabetes in the U.S., which was $327 billion, in 2017.

At the same time, 96 million Americans (38% of the adult population) had prediabetes, in 2019—a condition that puts patients at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Screening and regular testing of key biomarkers would play a significant role in both mitigation and management.

"Our goal is to connect the ADA's mission and Healthyr's vision to make the healthcare industry work for patients," said Stacey Finster, Founder and CEO of Healthyr. "By giving patients the power to make informed health decisions when it comes to diabetes and prediabetes care."

The Healthyr HbA1C and Glucose Health Test enables users to check two different biomarkers, which indicate a potential risk for type 2 diabetes, including HbA1c and Glucose. The fingerprick test examines average blood sugar levels to determine the relative stability over the previous three-month period. Healthyr testing kits provide people at risk for diabetes and those diagnosed, with options to take action to improve their health.

"Sadly, more than 96 million Americans have prediabetes and 8 in 10 of them don't know they have it. Fortunately, with knowledge and some lifestyle changes, people can better manage their prediabetes or type 2 diabetes," said Charles "Chuck" Henderson, CEO of ADA. "Healthyr helps equip people with the information they need to take actions that can reduce the risks associated with diabetes and improve their health."

"Knowledge is power, but information creates empowerment," added Finster. "Ultimately that's what we are seeking to create through this program: empowering people to make informed decisions about their own health, based on simple, easy-to-use tests they can perform in the comfort and privacy of their own home."

About Healthyr: Healthyr is a leading provider of digital health and wellness solutions. We are committed to making at-home patient care an affordable reality for the American public. Healthyr screening tests provide insights needed to make informed healthcare decisions about your body. Current Healthyr tests include: Athletic Performance Test, Cardiovascular Health Test, Comprehensive Health Test, Micronutrient Health Test, and Prediabetes Test. Fear the Walking Dead series finale is now filming

Fear the Walking Dead is ending with its eighth season, and the series finale is now filming in Savannah, Georgia

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9QEYoxvwRI

Last month, AMC announced that the eighth season of Fear the Walking Dead, which is set to begin airing on May 14th, will be the final season. Now cinematographer David Morrison has taken to Instagram to mark the fact that filming is underway on the series finale. Morrison said, “Been looking forward to this for a while. Years in the making. Let’s do this!” The series finale is being directed by Michael E. Satrazemis, a franchise regular who has directed seventeen episodes of The Walking Dead, twenty episodes of Fear the Walking Dead, and three episodes of Tales of the Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead wrapped up its eleven season run on AMC last year, so it seems fitting that Fear the Walking Dead, its first companion series, is following its example and wrapping up as well. Especially since there are a bunch of new spin-offs to look forward to: The Walking Dead: Dead City, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne, and maybe another season of Tales of the Walking Dead.

The Hollywood Reporter previously confirmed that Fear the Walking Dead season 8 will be split into two parts, with six episodes airing in May and June and the remaining six set for later in the year (an exact date is yet to be determined). AMC Studios and AMC Networks entertainment president Dan McDermott provided the following statement: “It’s a truly exciting year for The Walking Dead Universe, as we conclude an epic journey on Fear the Walking Dead, which became one of the most successful shows in the history of cable television. And now we are set to bring forth the next iteration of the franchise (with the new spin-offs) … This next phase of our beloved Walking Dead franchise promises to engage and enthrall faithful viewers. Fans new and old will love seeing zombies walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, beneath the Eiffel Tower, inside the Louvre, and at dozens more exotic and iconic locations from around the country and world.

Walking Dead universe chief creative officer Scott M. Gimple executive produces Fear the Walking Dead with showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, Michael Satrazemis and David Alpert. The show is produced by AMC Studios.

When Fear the Walking Dead began, the show was focused on the members of the Clark and Manawa families. As seasons have gone on, Clarks and Manawas were killed off until only Alycia Debnam-Carey’s character Alicia Clark remained… and she made her exit at the end of season 7. Oddly, now that Alicia is gone, her mom Madison Clark (played by Kim Dickens) is back for season 8, after appearing to have died in season 4. Season 4 also brought a time jump that allowed The Walking Dead character Morgan Jones (Lennie James) to take a prominent role on the show.

Here’s the synopsis for the final season of Fear the Walking DeadMorgan’s and Madison’s hopes to rescue Mo from PADRE did not go as planned. Now, Morgan, Madison and the others they brought to the island are living under PADRE’s cynical rule. With our characters demoralized and dejected, the task of reigniting belief in a better world rests with the person Morgan and Madison set out to rescue in the first place — Morgan’s daughter, Mo.

James and Dickens are joined in the cast by Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Austin Amelio, Christine Evangelista, Karen David, Jenna Elfman, and Rubén Blades.

What do you think of Fear the Walking Dead reaching its finale? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

Southminster Partners With Memory & Movement Charlotte to Ease Care Access

Southminster

Charlotte, NC

Southminster's mission has long included a commitment to collaborate with like-minded organizations to accelerate impact on all generations across Charlotte Mecklenburg's broader community. The community's latest initiative has given birth to a new partnership with Memory & Movement Charlotte, a nonprofit practice providing comprehensive clinical and diagnostic expertise for individuals with cognitive and movement concerns.

The practice focuses on education, support, and empowerment for both patients and those who care for them. Their work greatly enhances the lives of families on a daily basis. "Dr. Edwards and his amazing staff, especially his nurse Shelly, have walked this difficult walk with me and my husband in indescribable ways," said Georgia Ann Porcher. "They have truly partnered and supported the caregiver through this long journey. My family joins me in thanking them for their skill and compassion as we continue down this road."

According to Ben Gilchrist, President and CEO at Southminster, "We are now going a step farther in our collaboration by expanding our Embrace Clinic to include a satellite location for Memory & Movement. This expanded access will not only enhance health outcomes for our residents but for those living in the greater Charlotte region."

"We could not manage this journey of my husband's dementia without Dr. Edwards and Memory and Movement Charlotte (MMC)," says Eutha Hobson. Chuck Edwards is a personal friend of my husband from his medical practice days. It has truly been a blessing to be able to see Dr. Edwards at Southminster, where we live. The support from MMC has been a godsend for our family."

Southminster Patient Scholarship

The Southminster Patient Scholarship program was designed to eliminate financial barriers some patients and caregivers face when attempting to access quality care in our region. Specifically, the scholarships assist families who need help affording Memory & Movement Charlotte's annual fee and also help offset the cost of clinical services for patients who need assistance.

Dealing with a progressive memory or movement condition is incredibly difficult, and the scholarship fund relieves the additional stress of financial concerns. In calendar year 2022, 68 patients applied for and received full or partial scholarships. Since September, clinical fees were waived for patients who do not have sufficient insurance coverage and fees were waived for patients who entered hospice. Physicians waived annual fees for an additional 62 patients, many of whom have significant financial need but were unable to complete a scholarship application.

"We are committed to treating every family in need of our services, regardless of their ability to pay," said Dr. Charles Edwards II, M.D., Founding Physician at Memory & Movement Charlotte. "Scholarship support makes it possible for us to keep that promise in a way that is financially sustainable. We are deeply grateful to Southminster for their critical role in helping us meet the increasing demand for compassionate, comprehensive care."

"Partnering with another non-profit in this manner means people experiencing Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and related conditions now have another way to access the best in diagnosis, treatment, support and education that our region has to offer," said Tracy McGinnis, VP Philanthropy & Strategic Initiatives at Southminster.

How to Allocate Your Wedding Budget

How to Allocate Your Wedding Budget

iQuanti: Your wedding is one of the biggest days of your life. It's a time when your family and friends will come together to celebrate the union of you and the love of your life. With so much anticipation, it's no wonder many people stress about how they will afford to pull off their wedding day.

Whether you've already saved money for your big day or are using a loan payment calculator to see how much you can borrow, keeping a wedding budget under control is setting reasonable spending limits. Here are some suggested allocations to keep in mind.

Wedding Venue

The venue is typically one of the most expensive costs of a wedding. It's important to choose a facility that is beautiful, spacious, yet affordable because it's where your guests will enjoy your reception and where most of your photos will be taken.

Keep in mind the added costs the venue operator will charge if you plan to have an open bar—most charge for both the alcohol consumed and staffing bartenders to serve your guests.

Catering

Great food makes a beautiful wedding even more memorable. Take time to find an incredible caterer who can provide various dish options and stay within your budget.

Sometimes the venue offers in-house catering. Depending on the style and type of food you'd like your guests to enjoy, this option could be less expensive than bringing in a caterer.

Photography and Videography

Your wedding photos and video will live on long after the big day is over. You'll want to find a professional or team who can serve as an outstanding photographer and videographer. Be sure to browse through their past work and check referrals before committing to one.

Honeymoon

While you and your guests enjoy the wedding reception, the honeymoon is when you and your new spouse get to spend quality time with one another. It's best to start planning at least a year in advance. An alternate strategy could be waiting until six months before the trip when you might get a better flight and accommodation rate.

Wedding Rings

One thing that you should absolutely include in your wedding budget is the wedding rings. After all, this is an important tangible token of your commitment to each other and will last throughout your marriage.

When picking out the perfect ring, there are many options out there, so it can be easy to get overwhelmed. Consider different designs, materials, and carats - these decisions should all factor into your budget. Don't forget about insurance for your rings; protecting them from potential loss or damage is key.

Additional Expenses

There are a few more major expenses typically included in the overall wedding budget:

  • Entertainment during the reception
  • Flowers
  • Cake
  • Invitations
  • Wedding attire

It would also be wise to work in a small cushion to cover any incidentals or other costs you didn't anticipate, like last minute expenses or higher than expected rates for services.

The Bottom Line

Regardless of how much money you're prepared to spend on your wedding, the important thing is to set a limit for each expense and plan accordingly. By sticking to a budget, there's a much better chance of not overspending or going into debt. No matter what happens, the most important thing is to remember this is the day for celebrating the love of you and your fiancé.

How to Make Wise Financial Decisions as a Single Parent

0
How to Make Wise Financial Decisions as a Single Parent

iQuanti: The U.S. Census Bureau reported that in 2022, 10.9 million children under 18 in the United States lived in single-parent households. That's roughly 25% of all kids in the country growing up with just one parent to care for them and support them financially. It's so common that since 1984, the nation has been observing National Single Parent Day on March 21 every year.

Raising children is a blessing, but it's also expensive, especially when you include college tuition, should your kids choose that route. Parents spend sleepless nights with a loan payment calculator trying to figure that out.

If you're a single parent, you probably already know how to stretch a dollar to make sure your children are provided for. That's not easy. If you're looking for a few extra pointers, we're sharing some simple actions that single parents are taking now to get through the current tough economic circumstances.

1. Take a fresh look at your budget

Budgets should be used in any household. Unfortunately, yesterday's budget may not work in today's economy. Prices have gone up at the supermarket and the gas pump. Utilities are more expensive. Clothing for you and the kids is more costly. Take a fresh look at your budget, and you may find that you need to cut back on a few things to save money.

2. Find a side hustle or online second job

The onset of the 2020 pandemic taught us that raising children while working from home is possible. In addition to becoming homeschooling educators, many parents became entrepreneurs and online workers while the world was in lockdown. Those are all still options in 2023. If possible, taking on a side hustle or online second job might relieve some of the financial pressure. Just be sure to confirm that if you have a full-time job, your employer's consent might be needed to take on another job,

3. Save small amounts whenever you can

It's difficult to think about savings when every dollar goes to support your household. That doesn't mean you can't start saving. For instance, you can add apps to your smartphone that can help you accumulate spare change by rounding up your debit or credit card transactions. Savings deposits don't need to be large amounts. You can watch it add up to a nice rainy-day fund by putting away even $5 or $10 a week.

4. Ask for help

This is the most important tip of all. You are not alone. Millions of Americans are under financial pressure, and there are hundreds of programs out there where you can get assistance. Don't let pride get in the way of giving your children a better life. WIC, Head Start, CCAP, and other agencies have solid support programs.

Asking for help extends to your creditors too. If you're struggling to pay bills, contact the people you owe money to and explain your situation. Credit card companies may lower interest rates. Lenders can defer payments. Don't get stuck in a debt trap thinking there's no relief in sight. There is. You just need to ask for it.

The Bottom Line

Providing for children as a single parent can be difficult, but making a few wise financial decisions can make the load a little lighter over time. Start by looking at your current budget to see where you can adjust. You can also start saving small amounts of money for a rainy day and look into a second job or side hustle to bring in more income. One of the wisest decisions you can make is to ask for help when needed. You can do a lot alone, but you don't have to do everything alone. There is help when you need it if you look in the right place.

Could a New Credit Card Help Fix Your Credit Score?

0
Could a New Credit Card Help Fix Your Credit Score?

Credello: Credit scores are critical financial tools in today's society, so it can be problematic when your credit report shows a low score. Those with higher scores statistically get better interest rates and more favorable payoff terms than those with lower scores, which could mean the difference between hundreds, or even thousands, in added-on fees and interest rates.

So if you want to repair your credit quickly, consider adding another credit card to your collection. It sounds counterintuitive, but this new card might be more helpful than you think.

Let us introduce you to the secured credit card.

What is a secured credit card?

Are you looking to fix your credit score and don't know where to start? A secured credit card may be the answer you are looking for.

Secured credit cards are designed to help people with damaged or limited credit build or rebuild their scores. They're different from traditional credit cards in that they require a security deposit, usually a few hundred dollars, which acts as collateral. This deposit is held until the cardholder is finished using the card.

The terms of use for a secured card are typically similar to those of a regular credit card, save for the deposit. You can use it just like any other credit card, make purchases at stores, online, and even pay bills.

How a secured credit card can help rebuild your credit

Since secured cards are often easier to get than traditional ones, they're perfect for consumers with limited or poor credit histories. They also provide more flexibility regarding spending limits and can help you manage your finances.

With a secured card, you can develop a positive payment history and establish good credit habits. Plus, once you have paid off the balance of the secured card and improved your credit score, you should expect to get more competitive offers for unsecured cards and personal loans that can help you improve your score even more while still getting the money you need.

Plus, since you'll receive the deposit back after closing the secured card, you'll have a small emergency fund to start building your savings or paying off old debts that are still around.

What credit score do you need to get a secured card?

Generally speaking, secured cards are an option for those with bad or fair credit scores. If you're looking to get a secured card, aim for a credit score of at least 500, but the higher your credit score is, the more likely you are to get approved for a secured card with better terms and conditions.

To ensure that you get approved with the best terms possible, you should work on improving your credit score as much as possible before applying. That means paying off existing debts, disputing any errors on your credit report, and limiting how often you apply for new credit.

What other options are there besides secured credit cards?

If you're not interested in getting a secured card, consider looking for a card with a promotional 0% APR on balance transfers. That way, you'll be able to transfer existing debt to a card with 0% interest and work on reducing your overall utilization, thus improving your score. However, balance transfer cards are typically unsecured and are harder to get approved for than secured cards for those with low credit scores.

Another option is a personal loan. These loans are typically unsecured (unless you can offer something for collateral) but have stricter terms and conditions than the average credit card. They can be a good option if you need quick access to cash but are unlikely to help you rebuild your credit score.

The bottom line

If you want to improve your credit score quickly, a secured credit card may be the perfect solution. With a few simple steps, you can repair your bad credit history and get the financial tools you need to build a brighter future.

Innovaccer’s Data Activation Platform Rated Top End-to-End Hospital & Health System Population Health Solution, 2023 Black Book™ Survey

Innovaccer’s Data Activation Platform Rated Top End-to-End Hospital & Health System Population Health Solution, 2023 Black Book™ Survey

Black Book's intensive study of population health data activation platforms and data management systems included the input of technology, clinical and financial leaders in hospitals, physician organizations, ambulatory care and ancillaries, health systems, and clinically integrated networks and rated on client experience by 2,539 participants in the crowdsourced survey from August 2022 to January 2023.

Ninety percent of healthcare IT leaders surveyed revealed their organizations are prioritizing data integration planning in 2023 and thirty percent have allocated funds to address the issue this budget year. In March 2020 at the start of the pandemic, two new rules were mandated to implement interoperability and patient access provisions of the 21st Century Cures Act. The rules promote FHIR as the foundational standard to support data exchange in healthcare putting provider IT users on alert.

According to provider organizations surveyed, their need for health data integration is driven by rising provider costs including locating and avoiding duplicate and unnecessary procedures (90%), the growing volume of healthcare consumer data (82%), consumer demand on providers for health results (92%), and gaps in clinical device connectivity (97%).

Despite the rising need to reduce healthcare expenditure by using advanced operational technologies, there remain significant concerns related to data privacy hampering global healthcare IT integration market growth according to 96% of technology executives polled.

"'As health systems navigate the complexities of population health management, strains on the data ecosystem of hospitals can jeopardize progress," said Doug Brown, Managing Partner of Black Book Research. "Bringing together datasets from various sources is critical to enable population health efforts, but so far has proved to be a formidable challenge for payers and providers alike. Population health management technology is the transforming collecting, integrating, normalizing, and interpreting data from across care interactions, devices, apps, and settings and is critical in a value-based system."

In the sweeping Black Book survey of hospital IT users, population health management technologies were scored on eighteen PHM-centric key performance indicators including Strategic Alignment with Client Goals, Innovation, and Risk Models, Client Relationships and Cultural Fit, Trust and Accountability, Deployment and Implementation, Interoperability, Reliability, Financial Viability and Managerial Stability, Customer Care Support, and Best-of-Breed Technology.

Black Book Research announced that San Francisco-based Innovaccer achieved the top honor for highest provider user experience and outcomes in the annual 2023 customer polls and competitive research of twenty data activation platforms, data integration, and interoperability solutions. The IT leader achieved top client ratings across ten of eighteen key performance indicators including top cybersecurity and data privacy efforts, integration and interface execution, and quality client relationships and customer service. Innovaccer scored a mean of 9.64 (on the 1.00 to 10.00 scale.)

End-to-end provider Population Health Management Solutions included Data Integration Platforms, Data Aggregation and Analytics, Financial Costing and Bundling, Care Management, Risk Modeling, and Patient Outreach capabilities for software, services, and consultant firms.

Cobra Kai: series creator Jon Hurwitz says it was the writers’ decision to end the show after the upcoming season

Cobra Kai: series creator Jon Hurwitz says it was the writers’ decision to end the show after the upcoming season

The creator of the popular series based on the Karate Kid films confirms that writers wanted to go out on their terms.

Cobra Kai has been renewed for season 6 over at Netflix, and while the series found an amazing longevity, the sixth season is touted as the final outing for the kids of the All-Valley Tournaments. As Netflix joins the other streaming platforms in canceling shows, Cobra Kai is not one they wanted to pull the plug on. Instead, series creator and showrunner, Jon Hurwitz has stated on his Twitter that it was the creative team’s decision to make this upcoming season the finale and not Netflix.

On Twitter, a fan asked Hurwitz what his reaction was when Netflix told them it was going to be the last season. Hurwitz replied to the the fan, saying, “Netflix didn’t tell us it was the last season. We told them it was the last season. We’ve always wanted to end Cobra Kai on our own terms and we are grateful we have the opportunity to do so. But that doesn’t mean we’re finished with the Miyagiverse. We love this world. #CobraKai”

The show had gained a giant fan base after a somewhat rocky start, due to an experimental premium streaming add-on to YouTube called YouTube Red. This premium service granted subscribers the chance to watch original content, and Cobra Kai was one of the premiere titles back in 2018. The show migrated onto Netflix and exploded in popularity.

The series has been able to explore multiple aspects of the original Karate Kid trilogy, including the critically-panned third film, as that film’s villain, Terry Silver, became a two-season antagonist for the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang dojos. The last season seemingly ended with a soft conclusion as the dojos engaged in an epic battle royal, relationships had found peace, Silver was exposed and arrested, and John Kreese had escaped prison. However, it had all also built to a tournament meant to eclipse the All-Valley — the Sekai-Taikai.

The only element from the Miyagiverse yet to make an appearance is the much maligned fourth entry, The Next Karate Kid, which starred Oscar-winner Hilary Swank as another student of Mr. Miyagi‘s. Fans of the original Karate Kid films don’t look back on that one with any sort of admiration, however, the revelation that Miyagi had another student is just the cliffhanger an episode of Cobra Kai would end on as it cuts to that cobra logo.

The Last Voyage of the Demeter: Universal Dracula movie will scare the crap out of people

The Last Voyage of the Demeter: Universal Dracula movie will scare the crap out of people

The Last Voyage of the Demeter cast member David Dastmalchian says the Universal Dracula movie will scare the crap out of people

The horror comedy Renfield isn’t the only Dracula movie Universal Pictures will be releasing this year. Completely unrelated to Renfield (so don’t expect Nicolas Cage to show up in it) is their August 11th theatrical release The Last Voyage of the Demeter, which is based on a single chapter, the Captain’s Log, from Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula. Directed by André Øvredal, The Last Voyage of the Demeter stars (according to The Hollywood Reporter) “Corey Hawkins as a doctor aboard the Demeter, Aisling Franciosi as an unwitting stowaway, Liam Cunningham as the ship’s captain, and David Dastmalchian as the Demeter’s first mate. The ensemble cast includes Jon Jon Briones, Stefan Kapicic, Nikolai Nikolaeff, and Javier Botet.” And during a recent interview with Collider, cast member Dastmalchian promised the movie is going to “scare the crap out of people”.

Dastmalchian said, “Horror is (André Øvredal’s) backbone and he is a true monster kid. He has this deep love and affinity for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, as do I. His knowledge of the book and his passion for the characters is so beautiful, and he’s got this really intense and unique vision and a way of telling stories that is so outside of the box. So anyone who’s familiar with his works like Trollhunter, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, you go, ‘Well, this guy never takes a little swing. He takes a big swing.’ He took a huge swing with this film. I think it’s gonna scare the crap out of people, but it’s also gonna be one of those movie experiences that transports you to this other place.

He added that he was excited to work on The Last Voyage of the Demeter because it gave him the chance to play “a character I’ve never gotten to play and it’s in a story that is one of my favorite chapters of one of my favorite books of all time.

Escaping development hell twenty years after the script was first written (Bragi F. Schut, Stefan Ruzowitzky, and Zak Olkewicz all receive writing credits on the finished film), The Last Voyage of the Demeter tells the story of the Russian schooner, Demeter, which was chartered to carry private cargo – twenty-four unmarked wooden crates – from Carpathia to London. The film will detail the strange events that befell the doomed crew as they attempt to survive the ocean voyage, stalked each night by a terrifying presence onboard the ship. When it finally arrived near Whitby Harbour, it was a derelict. There was no trace of the crew.

Our own Chris Bumbray had the chance to see some footage from The Last Voyage of the Demeter at CinemaCon last year, and he said the movie looks epic, gory, and classy.

Are you interested in watching The Last Voyage of the Demeter? Let us know by leaving a comment below. I’m really looking forward to seeing the movie.

Tips for Getting Your Finances in Order

Tips for Getting Your Finances in Order

iQuanti: Finances can be complicated, but getting them organized doesn't have to be stressful. With a bit of knowledge and effort, managing your money can become much more straightforward. Whether you're trying to tackle debt or figuring out how to reach your next financial goal, here are some tips to get you started:

Determine how much money you have coming in: Before you start making a plan to save money and reach your financial goals, figure out how much you make. Take a look at your pay stubs or bank statements to get a clear picture of your income. Once you know what you make after taxes, you can figure out how much you have to work with.

Figure out how much debt you're in: In addition to knowing how much you make, it's important to know exactly how much debt you have and what your total monthly payments look like. Do you have student debt? Credit card debt? A mortgage? Tally up everything to get an accurate picture of what you owe overall and what you pay each month.

Set up a budget: Now that you know how much money you have coming in and what your debt looks like, it's time to create a budget. This will help you figure out where your money is going each month and identify areas where you can cut back or save more. Make sure to account for all your expenses, from fixed costs such as rent or groceries to variable costs like entertainment and eating out.

Automate your finances where possible: Automating your finances can help you stay on top of things and keep your budget in check. Set up automatic payments for bills, set up recurring transfers for savings and investments, or use budgeting apps to track your spending. This can help you stay organized and on top of your finances.

Build an emergency fund if you don't have one: Having an emergency fund can help you if anything unexpected comes up, like a job loss or medical issue. Start by setting aside a little bit of money each month and gradually increase your savings.

Set financial goals: Having clear goals to work towards can help you stay motivated and on track with your finances. A goal can be as simple as saving a certain amount each month or something more complex like paying off a certain amount of debt. It may be something that can help you in the long term—maybe you want to save for a down payment or invest for a goal like retirement. An often overlooked part of reaching your financial goals would be to consider adding a whole life insurance policy or other type of permanent life insurance. Whatever your goals are, make sure they are realistic and achievable so you can stay motivated.

Make room for the fun stuff: Managing your finances doesn't have to be all about cutting costs and saving money. Make sure you budget for things that bring you joy, like hobbies or travel. This will help you stay motivated and make sure that your finances are not just a source of stress.

Consider working with a professional: If you are overwhelmed or are just unsure how to set and achieve financial goals, consider working with a professional. A financial advisor can help determine the best way to get on track and work toward your goals, whatever they may be.
