Andrew Hammer, MD, and Visionary Eye Doctors is the Washington, DC, Area’s First and Only Practice to Offer the Light-Adjustable Lens (LAL) to Cataract Patients
WASHINGTON - January 11, 2023 - (Newswire.com)

Cataracts are a leading cause of blindness among older adults in the United States, with more than half of all Americans having cataracts by age 80. Over the last few decades, remarkable progress has been made in improving cataract surgery and patient outcomes. Some of these innovations include laser-assisted cataract removal and premium lens implants, which may allow patients to see most distances, even up close, with no dependence on glasses.

"Visionary Eye Doctors is fulfilling its promise of providing advanced technology with a loving touch with the first customizable lens after cataract surgery."

Currently, surgeons take measurements of the patient's eye and, based on those measurements, make their best-educated decision as to which lens power would give the patient the best visual outcome. While effective, a patient would often still require glasses after surgery.

The Light-Adjustable Lens (LAL) manufactured by RxSight™ is the first and only cataract lens implant that can be customized after cataract surgery. This customization helps deliver superior visual outcomes that non-adjustable IOLs simply cannot match. This technology can give patients the best correct vision for distance in their dominant eye. If they wish independence from reading glasses, the surgeon can adjust their non-dominant eye for reading vision.

Visionary Eye Doctors' founder and owner J. Alberto Martinez, MD, has always promised to provide state-of-the-art technology with a loving touch. Keeping its promise to the community, VED now provides the latest customizable lens for cataract surgery.

GOBEL Celebrates 13 Years as Trendsetting Healthcare Philanthropy Powerhouse
Organization celebrates a new healthcare philanthropy conference, a health and humanitarian foundation, international expansion, and more achievements.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - January 11, 2023 - (Newswire.com)

At the end of January 2023, GOBEL will host the G23 Healthcare Philanthropy Innovation Summit in Clearwater Beach, FL. The summit, an exclusive event for leaders in healthcare philanthropy, will feature some of the brightest minds in healthcare, technology and philanthropy.

It's pretty impressive ground for a company celebrating its 13th year on Jan. 11, 2023.

"We have come a long way in a short time," shared Chad Gobel, company founder and CEO. "For us, enhancing the business of philanthropy is its own reward. Of course, everyone seeks success in the line of work they've chosen. But in philanthropy, accomplishment is based on a simple premise, really. It's driven by a fundamental passion to help people. And if that mission drives you, the effort to achieve success in the philanthropic consulting landscape is as rewarding a task as one could pursue."

It's a calling not just for GOBEL's clients but for the company itself. In 2022, GOBEL launched its own philanthropic foundation, with an eye toward funding health and humanitarian efforts internationally. The GOBEL Foundation's first fundraising endeavor resulted in more than $100,000 raised on behalf of the people in war-ravaged Ukraine. Money was used to provide water, food, medicine, medical supplies, and even to construct bomb shelters for the people of the Mykovlaiv and Kherson regions.

The year 2022 was a particularly strong one for the company. Driven by their philosophy that gratitude drives the decision to give and wealth drives the level of that giving, GOBEL helped its clients raise more than $1.5 billion to improve their communities and the experience of their patients and their families. In fact, it was the company's most prolific year to date with nearly triple-digit revenue growth. In addition to the launch of the Foundation, a number of hallmark episodes contributed to the progress in quick succession.

GOBEL Acquires Leading Firm Ghiorsi & Sorrenti

In June of 2022, GOBEL acquired Ghiorsi & Sorrenti, Inc. (GSI). For more than three decades, GSI led the industry in developing and executing some of the most innovative and successful capital and comprehensive fundraising campaigns in healthcare. While campaigns have long been part of GOBEL's services, GSI added a deeper level of expertise.

"We joined GOBEL because we saw a visionary company that repeatedly puts thought leadership into action, achieving remarkable results," said Dan Sorrenti, founding partner of GSI. "GOBEL is taking our industry to an entirely new level by combining incomparable consulting and technology solutions that assist clients with raising more philanthropic support than ever before."

GOBEL Launches International, Secures First Patent

In addition to the GSI acquisition, in the fall of 2022, GOBEL launched its international company, with headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. Shortly afterward, GOBEL announced its first international fundraising engagement with Northern Ireland Hospice.

On the home front, GOBEL took another enormous step in pioneering the future of smart technology in the philanthropy industry when it received a patent from the United States government for its artificial intelligence and automated machine learning predictive models.

And to underscore its burgeoning momentum as an industry leader, GOBEL created its own advisory board of senior healthcare leaders from some of the nation's top healthcare organizations.

Firm Plans for Ambitious 2023

"We're certainly proud of our position as the No. 1 consulting and technology firm for healthcare organizations," said Chad Gobel. "But we are looking ahead to what is next, and view our growth and accomplishments to date as laying the groundwork for exponentially more to come."

Among the firm's goals for 2023 are to help clients raise more than $2 billion, greatly expand its research platform, offer more smart technology products and ideas, and expand even further into Europe and elsewhere internationally.

"We're grateful to our clients for giving us the opportunity to help them achieve transformational results from all of our platforms," said Chad Gobel. "And in many respects, as we enter our 13th year, we feel we are just getting started."

GOBEL is the world's leading consulting and technology firm in healthcare philanthropy. They offer clients the most comprehensive solution for building a robust philanthropy program, using data and analytics to advise clients in grateful patient programs, major gifts training, clinician engagement, fundraising strategy, campaign planning and more. GOBEL also provides clients with primary and secondary research, along with peer analysis and benchmarking. Its team of 60 seasoned healthcare development professionals and clinicians comes from the top medical centers in the nation. They bring more than 750 years of collective healthcare philanthropy experience to their client engagements and have worked with over 1,000 hospitals and health systems in their history.

PVC-Reinforced Cedar Window Boxes and Planters Combine Low Maintenance and the Farmhouse Trend

PVC Reinforced Cedar Planter Box

BALL GROUND, Ga. - January 11, 2023 - (Newswire.com)

Flower Window Boxes, Inc. is introducing a new cedar window boxes and planters line with a reinforced PVC core that finally combines the beauty of red western cedar with the longevity of PVC. A typical wooden window box, flower box, or planter will generally last approximately 3-5 years, and this is only if proper lining, sealing, and maintenance is done each year. One solution to this problem has been using woods like cedar or cypress, which have a natural resistance to bugs and rotting and generally add a couple more years of life to the containers. Despite cedar's reputation as rot-resistant, direct contact with water, soil, flowers, and plants will still result in sooner-than-desired decay. At Flower Window Boxes, Inc., they have attacked this problem from the inside of the box, where soil is in direct contact and the majority of rotting happens, by reinforcing the box with a PVC, no-rot inner core. This allows the plants, soil, and flowers to sit in direct contact with a waterproof and rotproof surface while using the cedar as more of an exterior veneer for the look of the box.

"The time to do this is long overdue. We have been manufacturing PVC window boxes for the last 14 years, and our motto has always been no rot, lifetime guarantee. For this reason, we were always hesitant to introduce cedar or other woods into our product line. The emerging farmhouse trend, however, has shown us that there is an appetite for cedar and other high-quality wood products on the outside of people's homes, and so we felt it was time to engineer a new cedar window box line that would incorporate both the beauty and trendiness of cedar with the quality and longevity of PVC. We call our new design the Farmhouse window box," says Matt Buquoi, owner of Flower Window Boxes.

The new line of cedar window boxes will be available on the website in sizes ranging from 24" long to 120" long, with all sizes in between available to be custom-made. In addition to custom window boxes, they also offer over a dozen different designs and styles of PVC window boxes for customers, available in 14 different standard sizes ready to order right off the website. They will also be offering a line of freestanding cedar planter boxes as well, and these outdoor planters will be available in long rectangular planter lengths of all sizes to fit almost any space. All of the flower boxes will feature as an option their patented reservoir systems that turn any of their boxes into self-watering window boxes.

Flower Window Boxes, Inc. is not just a window box and planter company. They have morphed over the past five years into more of a curb appeal company, and they have an entire cedar product line of decorative gables, brackets, corbels, exterior shutters, mantels, and more. Cedar architectural accents on the exterior of homes have become a very popular trend during the farmhouse craze, especially here in Atlanta, Georgia. This new product line is the first major new product since they released their Forever Shutters composite PVC shutter product line a few years ago, and they are super excited by the positive response they have already gotten back from their customers online.

Flower Window Boxes, Inc. has been featured on shows such as HGTV, The Today Show, Ask This Old House, Renovation Island, and more.

Lion Gaming Group Inc. Announces the Acquisition of 1Click Games, One of Europe’s Leading iGaming Platform Suppliers
CALGARY, Alberta - January 11, 2023 - (Newswire.com)

Lion Gaming Group, an iGaming technology platform provider that offers white label casino and sportsbook solutions built for the future of the iGaming industry, has today announced the completion of the acquisition of 1Click Games to expand its current suite of comprehensive iGaming offerings.

What Are the Factors That Affect Interest Rates on Emergency Loans?

What Are the Factors That Affect Interest Rates on Emergency Loans?
NEW YORK - January 11, 2023 - (Newswire.com)

iQuanti: An emergency loan is a type of short-term loan designed to provide funds quickly in the event of an unexpected expense or financial emergency. Emergency loans generally come with higher interest rates than other types of loans due to their short-term nature and lack of collateral. The interest rate is the amount you will pay in addition to the amount borrowed. Emergency loans can be a lifesaver in times of financial need, but the interest rates can have a major impact on your bottom line. Knowing the factors that affect emergency loan interest rates is important so you can make an informed decision when shopping for a loan. In this article, we will explore the various factors that affect interest rates on emergency loans so you can make a more educated decision when looking for an emergency loan.

Type of loan

The first factor that affects interest rates on emergency loans is the type of loan. Different types of emergency loans, such as payday or secured personal loans, will have different interest rates associated with them. Payday loans tend to have higher interest rates than other types of emergency loans because they are short-term and unsecured. Secured personal loans, on the other hand, typically have lower interest rates since they are usually secured by an asset such as a home or car.

Amount borrowed

The amount of money borrowed also affects interest rates on emergency loans. Generally speaking, the more money you borrow, the higher your interest rate will be, so it is important to only borrow the amount you need. Additionally, lenders may have different interest rate tiers depending on how much money is borrowed, so it's a good idea to research your options and compare rates.

Credit score

Your credit score is another factor that affects interest rates on emergency loans. Generally, the higher your credit score, the lower your interest rate will be. For those with poor credit, there are still options available, but they usually come with higher interest rates. It is important to note that many lenders do not check your credit score when determining interest rates on emergency loans, so it's a good idea to shop around and compare offers.

Length of loan

The length of the loan is another factor that influences interest rates on emergency loans. Generally, the shorter the loan term, the higher the interest rate will be since there is less time to pay off the debt. On the other hand, longer terms can have lower interest rates as they give borrowers more time to repay their loans.

Income and financials

Finally, your income and financials are important factors that affect interest rates on emergency loans. Lenders typically evaluate your income and financials to determine your ability to pay back the loan. Those with higher incomes and better financial standing may be able to qualify for lower interest rates, while those with lower incomes or worse financial standing may have to settle for higher interest rates.

It is important to understand the different factors that affect interest rates so you can make an informed decision when looking for an emergency loan. Keeping these factors in mind can help you find the best loan for your situation and avoid costly interest rates. By doing your research and shopping around, you can find the perfect loan for your needs.

5 Ways to Cover Your Grocery Bill

0
5 Ways to Cover Your Grocery Bill
NEW YORK - January 10, 2023 - (Newswire.com)

iQuanti: We all need groceries to feed ourselves and our families. Consequently, it can be worrying when you don't have enough cash on hand to cover the grocery bill. But fortunately, there are plenty of solutions to help you pay for groceries and get back on track. These include loans, slashing expenses, and finding additional income sources. This article will cover five ways to cover your grocery bill if you don't quite have the money to pay for them.

1. Get a cash advance

Sometimes, you can afford to buy groceries, but your paycheck hasn't arrived yet. A cash advance can allow you to get the funds you need without having to wait. These loans typically come due within two to four weeks.

Although it may be difficult to get cash advances with no credit check, some lenders have less strict credit score requirements. They'll consider other factors like income and employment history when deciding whether to approve you.

You can easily apply for cash advances online or in-store. If approved, the lender may ask for a post-dated check or your bank information so they can recoup the loan plus fees automatically. If you can't repay the loan, you can roll it over another two to four weeks for a fee.

2. Use your credit card

Credit cards let you borrow up to a specified credit limit and repay at leisure. Statement periods tend to last 30 days, and then you get a 30-day grace period before interest is charged. That means you could have up to 60 days to pay your grocery bill.

Additionally, many credit cards offer rewards points redeemable for cash back or statement credits. Some offer high cash back rates on groceries. Overall, a credit card can help you cut your grocery bill a bit and put it off for almost 2 months.

3. Consider a title loan

Title loans are another quick loan option that can help you pay for groceries. These secured loans let you use your car title as collateral if you own the vehicle outright. Title lenders simply appraise your vehicle and ensure you have a steady income, then offer you 25% to 50% of the car's appraised value. You can leave with loan funds the same day and continue driving your car during repayment.

4. Cut expenses where possible

If you consistently come up short on groceries, reevaluate your budget and see if you can cut spending in certain areas. Start with nonessential expenses you don't need or use. For example, you may downgrade or cancel a streaming subscription to get a few extra bucks each month.  Remember: these budget cuts don't have to be permanent. Once you're back on solid financial footing, you can add them back.

5. Find more income

Slashing expenses works well, but you can only cut so far. Finding more income sources can help you cover your grocery bill. If you're employed, start by trying to get a raise at work or a higher-paying job elsewhere. Investing extra time here can help you secure a higher salary without much extra work. You can also start a side hustle. For instance, you could try freelancing online or driving for a ridesharing or delivery service like Uber or DoorDash.

The bottom line

If you're short on grocery funds, you have several options to make up for the shortfall. You can look into cash advances if you're just waiting for your next paycheck to cover groceries. Using credit cards also helps you put off the bill for up to 60 days and save money through cash back. Title loans can also be a helpful tool if you own a vehicle outright.

Beyond loans, you can cut expenses and seek out additional income sources to make up the difference.Following these tips can help you cover the costs of groceries and reduce your financial stress.
