New Mandibular Advancement Device Provides Dentists with an Innovative 3D-Printed Option to Treat Patients with Sleep Apnea

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. - December 12, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

New West Dental Lab, a full-service dental laboratory that has been serving dentists nationally for over 40 years, has announced a new addition to its family of mandibular advancement devices (MADs), the EndSnorZ™ Sleep Appliance. Available exclusively from New West, the new appliance is a patient-specific device that is adjustable in 0.5 mm increments across a 10 mm range to treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Dentists who trust New West with their crown & bridge restorations will find the EndSnorZ to be a reliable and precise 3D-printed appliance that fits well with the high-quality standards that the dental treatment of snoring and sleep apnea demands.

"I'm pleased to announce the availability of the EndSnorZ Sleep Appliance," said New West General Manager Hollie Taylor, CDT. "This device reflects our commitment to collaborating with our dentist customers and innovating the tools and techniques that help deliver the highest possible level of care for dental patients. The new EndSnorZ appliance builds on the latest cutting-edge CAD/CAM processes as well as 3D printing technologies to deliver an exceptional dental experience for both the clinician and patient."

The dental treatment of snoring and sleep apnea requires a trained dentist to position the jaw during sleep so that the tissues, muscles and ligaments of the upper airway have slight tension. This stops the vibration and partial airway collapse that creates the snoring sound. It also treats OSA by defending the airway from complete collapse.

All MADs, including the EndSnorZ, have a similar method of action. Upper and lower nightguards of the appliance have the same fit, form and function that dentists who treat snoring and sleep apnea are familiar with. The differences are in the orientation and material for the connector arms. EndSnorZ connector arms work through traction, gently pulling the jaw into position. This traction also tends to hold the mouth closed and prevents the jaw from collapsing during sleep, which would otherwise obstruct the airway. The EndSnorZ appliance encourages closed-mouth, quiet nasal breathing, increases patient comfort and provides a more restful sleep.

"Success in the practice of dental sleep medicine requires durable materials and precise, predictable fit, form and function," said Taylor. "The EndSnorZ appliance fills this requirement. Furthermore, it is affordably priced at $247 and it includes our standard two-year MAD warranty. This device provides many benefits for dentists interested in growing their practice with oral appliance therapy."

In its four decades of serving dentists across the country, New West Dental Lab has worked very closely with dental teams and vendor groups to provide an elevated patient experience. To learn more or to receive information about the appliance call 800-321-1614 or visit newwestlab.com/sleep.

StaffGarden provides innovative technology solutions to over 800 facilities nationwide and will expand further in 2023.

AdventHealth chose the StaffGarden Grow platform in early 2022 to launch its Professional Excellence Program across the system throughout 2022 and 2023. AdventHealth began with its direct care nurses and later expanded to a second program for assistant nurse managers.

"StaffGarden's platform has been integral to the successful launch of our national Nursing Professional Excellence Program. It supports the professional development needs of our nursing workforce. The platform is intuitive and makes it easy for our nurses to input the documentation supporting their work," said Trish Celano, Chief Nurse Executive for AdventHealth. Senzo Secures Additional .9MM Equity Funding for Its PCR-Accurate Lateral Flow Test
The funding, led by existing investors BioAdvance and Wellness Coaches, follows additional 3rd party studies by University College London and LateralDx, confirming that Senzo's Amplified Lateral Flow (ALF) platform returned greater than 98% accuracy against PCR, including in low viral-load samples

PHILADELPHIA - December 12, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

Senzo, a life sciences company developing high accuracy, low-cost point-of-care diagnostic technologies, today announced a $1.9 million investment led by existing investors BioAdvance and Wellness Coaches.

The funding follows recent blinded studies by UCL and LateralDx, confirming that the Senzo Amplified Lateral Flow test had 98% accuracy in comparison to PCR in correctly identifying COVID-19 virus in samples, even at very low viral loads above 30 Ct. These studies, combined with an earlier study by Sheffield University, demonstrate the high performance of the Senzo Amplified Lateral Flow (ALF) platform. ALF is the only platform that combines the speed and low cost of lateral flow tests with the accuracy of PCR tests.

The investment will be used to complete validation, execute clinical trials, secure FDA EUA authorization, and scale manufacturing for the ALF COVID-19 test, as well as to advance R&D for new Flu A/B, RSV, Tuberculosis, HIV, Hepatitis-C, and Strep tests.

"This funding further indicates the interest and excitement investors have in the ALF platform, and is another important step in bringing our technology to market. Whether for COVID-19, TB, Flu, or a range of other diseases, there are patients in desperate need of better at-home, rapid-test diagnostics, and a huge market needing our tests. This investment will help us bring this innovative technology to market even faster," said Jeremy Stackawitz, CEO of Senzo Health.

Senzo plans to complete ALF COVID-19 clinical trials and secure FDA EUA regulatory approval in 1H 2023, with tests commercially available in the 2H 2023.

Gb Sciences Addresses Growing Need for Anxiety and Depression Medications With Non-Psychedelic, Kava-Based Formulations

Gb Sciences Addresses Growing Need for Anxiety and Depression Medications With Non-Psychedelic, Kava-Based Formulations
As mental health disorders increasingly impact global populations, Gb Sciences is developing psychotropic but non-psychedelic treatments for anxiety and depression that compete with the emerging billion-dollar psychedelic companies.

LAS VEGAS - December 12, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

Gb Sciences, Inc. (OTCQB:GBLX), a leading plant-inspired, biopharmaceutical research and development company, is addressing the growing need for anxiety and depression medications through the development of novel, kava-inspired formulations, which are mood altering but non-hallucinogenic. Recently, Gb Sciences received positive preclinical results supporting the efficacy of its proprietary kava-based formulas designed for the treatment of anxiety, which were obtained as a part of its ongoing preclinical study of kava-inspired formulations for the treatment of anxiety or depression. Gb Sciences' psychotropic, kava-inspired formulas enhance mood, but they do not have potentially unwanted psychedelic side effects.

"While kava-based formulations are not well publicized, we believe they hold significant potential for the treatment of anxiety and depression without the hallucinogenic effects of more recently popularized treatments based on classical psychedelic molecules," explained Dr. Andrea Small-Howard, President and Chief Science Officer of Gb Sciences. "Gb Sciences has leveraged its patent-pending platform, PhAROS or Phytomedical Analytics for Research Optimization at Scale, to identify novel drug candidates based on potentially synergistic combinations of kava plant compounds designed to address these serious mental health disorders."

Approximately 300 million people in the world suffer from anxiety and depression, while effective clinical treatments are still limited globally. Recently, psychedelic treatments have received significant attention based on their potential to treat anxiety and depression, among other mental health challenges and addictions. In fact, several publicly traded companies valued at a billion dollars each have emerged as leaders within the psychedelic development space bolstered by preliminary published psychedelic research. While these novel psychedelic treatments may be a good option for some patients with anxiety or depression, there are significant limitations that may prevent them from becoming widely adopted, including their negative stigma, the lack of scientific research defining the pros and cons of these treatments, and the fact that the psychedelic side effects may be unwanted by many potential patients and their employers.

Gb Sciences has leveraged its AI-enabled drug discovery technology to develop kava plant-inspired treatments for anxiety and depression that are designed to enhance mood but are non-psychedelic. Gb Sciences has recently received positive preclinical results supporting the efficacy of its proprietary kava-based formulas designed for the treatment of anxiety, and Gb Sciences has additional kava-inspired formulations being tested for the treatment of anxiety and depression at the National Research Council of Canada ("NRC") through GbS' Canadian subsidiary, GbS Global Biopharma, Inc.

The "plant-inspired" active ingredients in its therapeutic mixtures are synthetic homologues identical to the original plant compounds but produced under current Good Manufacturing Practices. Gb Sciences' intellectual property portfolio contains six issued U.S. and three issued foreign patents, as well as 17 U.S. and 51 foreign patent-pending applications. In its drug development pipeline, Gb Sciences has five preclinical phase product development programs. Gb Sciences' lead program for Parkinson's disease is being prepared for a first-in-human clinical trial. Gb Sciences' formulations for chronic pain, anxiety, and depression are currently in preclinical animal studies with researchers at the National Research Council Canada. The company also recently received positive preclinical proof-of-concept data supporting its complex mixtures for the treatment of Cytokine Release Syndrome, and its lead candidates will be optimized based on late-stage preclinical studies at Michigan State University. 6 Things to Think About Before You Start Your Job Search

6 Things to Think About Before You Start Your Job Search
NEW YORK - December 12, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

iQuanti: The job search process can come up at any time, whether it's a sudden end of employment, an evolving career goal, or a desire to try a new challenge. Sorting through job listings, uploading your resume, and browsing LinkedIn can feel like a full-time job of its own. That's why it's important to prepare for the process ahead—here are a few things to consider before you dive into your search.

Your career plans

Thinking about your desired career trajectory can go a long way toward figuring out your next move. Do you want to move up in your field, make a lateral move for a change of scenery, or step back and try something less stressful? Think about what kind of job can get you to where you want to be.

Your budget and desired income

Narrowing down your job search will start with figuring out how much money you need to make to fit your budget. You'll need to factor in things such as rent, transportation payments, family costs, and medical needs when considering what jobs are in your range. Your goal may be to aim for a higher salary range than your previous jobs to make moving into a new role more appealing. If you're considering moving to a different industry, you'll want to research salaries so you know what to expect.

Tapping into your network

Your network of friends, colleagues, former coworkers, and mentors can be a huge asset when on the hunt for a new gig. Exploring your network can help provide insight into the job market, connections to employment opportunities, and even leads for jobs. Reaching out to your connections before you begin the job search can help you feel prepared.

Updating your resume

Many job seekers like to take the first step of updating their resume before they start looking at new career opportunities. Updating your work experience, skills, and other qualities will have you ready to quickly send out fresh, accurate, and up-to-date information about yourself when the time comes. It will also help serve as a pre-interview refresher, reminding you what skills and accomplishments you bring to a potential new employer.

What benefits you may want

Jobs offer benefit packages to attract new hires, so you should think about what kinds of benefits are important to you and your family. Things to consider include retirement accounts, 401(k) matching, as well as available health insurance or life insurance plans. These factors can be key points in deciding what kind of job to go after, as well as what to consider after receiving an offer.

Your work schedule

The world has changed in the past few years and so has the way people work. Many jobs now offer remote-work options or hybrid options for remote work and in-person days. Others may require you to come into a physical workspace every day. Narrow down your options by considering which kind of schedule fits your needs and your current working style. If you're ready to work from home for good, you'll want to seek out options that can accommodate.

MELBOURNE, Australia - December 12, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

Offering shelter from the sun and protection from the weather, pergolas provide a unique aesthetic appeal, and the right design can completely transform any backyard space. According to Softwoods, regardless of whether homeowners do a lot of entertaining or simply want a place to relax outside, pergolas are the ideal way to define an outdoor space. Creating a central focal point to complement landscaping, a pergola also helps to maximise the backyard's potential by making the space useable in all weather conditions.

As well as offering protection from the sun and rain, Softwoods explains that pergolas can also offer privacy from neighbours, enabling homeowners to entertain and relax without interference. By adding colour, plants and other decorative objects, pergolas contribute to the overall visual appeal of an outdoor space, plus these structures are also an ideal place for seating or an outdoor kitchen.

Offering DIY pergola kits that are truly unique in their versatility, Softwoods says the addition of a pergola to any backyard space will create a distinct environment that can't be achieved with any other landscaping feature. Australia’s Current International Travel Landscape is on the Come-Up, Says the Australian Bureau of Statistics
Inspiring Vacations reveals that from tours of Cape York to tours to Egypt, overseas travel is back in a big way for Australians, according to recent research from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

Inspiring Vacations

MELBOURNE, Australia - December 12, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

After two years of ducking in and out of lockdowns and battling tight restrictions and closed travel borders, Australians have proved that they have well and truly been bitten by the travel bug in 2022. Inspiring Vacations dissects the findings of recent ABS data on international travel from Australia.

As soon as the announcement was made in 2021 that international and state borders would finally reopen for travel, Australians immediately began booking exciting getaways, says Inspiring Vacations. From historical Egypt tours and treks across Thailand to tours to Cape York and everything in between, it seems that every corner of the earth has been filled with Aussie tourists throughout 2022 - but which destinations have been the most popular for Australian travellers?

Recent research conducted by the ABS has revealed that while Australia hasn't yet reached pre-pandemic levels of travel, the country is well on its way there. The data shows that the top 10 most popular locations for international travel from Australia in 2022 have been Auckland, New Zealand; Bali, Indonesia; Queenstown, New Zealand; Christchurch, New Zealand; Fiji; London, United Kingdom; Singapore; Wellington, New Zealand; Bangkok, Thailand; and Los Angeles, United States.

Inspiring Vacations explains the data also revealed an interesting trend: Australians aren't searching for the same, tried-and-true destinations they were travelling to pre-pandemic. Travel research is increasingly inclined to new destinations that Aussie tourists may not yet have visited. Otago, Naples and Saint-Tropez are amongst the top five destinations in which Australians have been booking accommodation this year.

As Australians search for new, exotic destinations, Inspiring Vacations can help tourists plan the perfect trip. Discover everything from guided tours Egypt-wide to Cape York tours and more.

Local heroes Robert Donohoo and Michelle Stokes hosted Palm Beach County's premier Holiday Party and Toy Drive, which raised over $100,000 on Dec. 4 at La Masseria Restaurant. Once held at Donohoo's home, attendance at this annual event grew exponentially, and it is now an anxiously awaited annual staple. This year did not disappoint. Over 250 people attended, bringing enough toys to fill a box truck!

"This is a magical time of year where we get the privilege of serving the most vulnerable in our communities," says Scott Penney, Speak Up for Kids Board President. "In any way we can, we want to make the holidays brighter for our children."

"Robert and Michelle are proof that not all superheroes wear capes! Although, sometimes, they are Palm Beach chic," quips Coleen LaCosta, Speak Up for Kids Executive Director, as she references the attire for the evening's festivities. LaCosta continues, "This event marks the epitome of what the holiday season is about. To see Robert work his magic engaging the community along with his team of 'elves' fills our hearts with joy and gratitude - it's life-changing."

Donohoo is all about helping the kids and spreads that passion. This year the team took it to the next level and secured sponsors, Flagler Bank, Paley Orthorpedic & Spine Institute, Marsha McGinn's Blue Bloods and the Fischer Family Foundation plus tremendous silent auction items.

La Masseria, located at 5520 PGA Boulevard, Suite 104, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418, is the perfect backdrop for the evening, coupling authentic Italian fare with the warmth of holiday giving. The owners and staff support the event and are as festive as the attendees.
