Best-Selling Author Gives Away Half a Million Copies of New Book, ‘Defender of the Faith: Ten Weird Facts About the Coronation,’ Surrounding Festivities in London May 6

Author Ray Comfort, CEO and founder of Living Waters Christian ministry, is giving away 500,000 hard copies of his book "Defender of the Faith: Ten Weird Facts about the Coronation," to U.S audiences interested in the events happening in London this weekend to celebrate King Charles III's official coronation.

According to Comfort, the book is controversial because it flies in the face of an increasingly secularized world—where many profess atheism and most don't honor the Bible. "It's ironic that during the coronation of King Charles, hundreds of millions around the world will essentially be going to church for a two-hour televised church service," Comfort said. "There they will hear many references to the Christian gospel and hear the Bible greatly honored."

The author and TV cohost is referring to the fact that during the church service, when King Charles is presented with the Bible, the Archbishop of Canterbury will say, "Sir: to keep you ever mindful of the law and the Gospel of God as the Rule for the whole life and government of Christian Princes, receive this Book, the most valuable thing that this world affords."

Comfort added, "I want people to understand the significance of the many strange things that will take place during the May 6 coronation: the meaning behind the presentation of three swords, the diamond-crusted orb, the golden scepter, the ancient coronation chair, the mysterious anointing, the king's extravagant robes, the amazing crown, and so on."

Comfort's ministry has also amassed an army of over 20,000 Christians who on coronation day will give away 16 million copies of what looks like a million-pound English note. These will not only be given freely to the millions of observers lining the streets of London, but also be given away in Europe, Canada, Australia, and other parts of the world.

"While the church service makes numerous references to the gospel, it doesn't articulate it in layman's language. And so we printed the 16 million copies of the commemorative 'million-pound note' explaining it. The word 'gospel' simply means 'good news.' And the good news is that in the Old Testament, God promised to destroy death, and in the New Testament we are told how He did it. That's actually the best news this world could ever hope to hear."

The London Outreach will be live-streamed on Living Waters' YouTube channel, where commentary will also be provided during the coronation church service.

The Watchers: Georgina Campbell joins Dakota Fanning in Ishana Night Shyamalan thriller

The Watchers: Georgina Campbell joins Dakota Fanning in Ishana Night Shyamalan thriller

Georgina Campbell has signed on to join Dakota Fanning in the thriller The Watchers, directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan

We recently heard that Barbarian star Georgina Campbell had signed on to star in the virus thriller Cold Storage with Liam Neeson and Joe Keery, and that she’s taking the lead in the thriller Psycho Killer, written by Se7en scribe Andrew Kevin Walker. Now The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Campbell is also set to join Dakota Fanning in the cast of a thriller called The Watchers, which marks the feature directorial debut of M. Night Shyamalan’s daughter Ishana Night Shyamalan. Filming is expected to begin in Ireland later this year, and a June 7, 2024 theatrical release has already been scheduled.

Fanning will take on the role of Mina, a 28-year-old artist who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers that are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night. Campbell’s character is one of the three strangers.

The younger Shyamalan has written the screenplay for The Watchers, based on a novel by A.M. Shine (pick up a copy HERE).

New Line Cinema’s Richard Brener provided the following statement: “We couldn’t be more excited to make Ishana’s first film with The Watchers. Equal parts visual, immersive, and terrifying, the script grips you from the first page and never lets go.

M. Night Shyamalan and Ashwin Rajan are producing The Watchers for Blinding Edge Pictures. Nimitt Mankad of Inimitable Pictures is also producing. Jo Homewood serves as executive producer.

Ishana Night Shyamalan has been an important part of the creative team behind her father’s Apple TV+ series Servant, writing and/or directing multiple episodes. Speaking about his daughter’s work on Servant last year, M. Night Shyamalan told Entertainment Weekly, “She has slightly more of a fantasy bend than I do. She speaks in bolder colors than I do. The camera is more canted or more grotesque in showing someone scarier. The disadvantage of being an accomplished artist is that your experience starts working against you. I see less options, because I’ve done so many things. She doesn’t see that; for her, everything is possible. There are advantages and disadvantages to the levels of experience that we each have.”

In addition to her work on Servant, Ishana Night Shyamalan has also worked as second unit director on her father’s movies Old and Knock at the Cabin, and she has directed four music videos for her sister Saleka. She is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and was still attending the school when she started working on Servant.

I was impressed by Georgina Campbell’s performance in Barbarian, so I’m glad to hear she’ll be in The Watchers with Dakota Fanning. What do you think of this casting news? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

Apprentice ranks as a Visionary in the 2023 Magic Quadrant for manufacturing Execution Systems

Apprentice.io, which helps life science manufacturers get treatments to patients faster by providing one platform to turn molecules into medicine, announced today it has been placed as a Visionary in the 2023 Gartner® Magic Quadrant for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

This year, Apprentice was recognized as a Visionary for its Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute. Last year in 2022, we were placed as a Niche Player in the same report. We think this an improvement in our position.

Apprentice's Tempo Manufacturing Cloud improves operations at the site level by coordinating the materials, equipment, recipes, and personnel needed to plan, execute, test, and release a batch from one shared system. Using our newly announced Connected Manufacturing Network (CMN), companies can now connect all sites together to view, manage, and accelerate the end-to-end drug production lifecycle.

This report states, "The next phase in the evolution of MES will be the convergence of technologies (processes) that support end-to-end supply chain planning and execution functions."

"We are building our Tempo Manufacturing Cloud to go beyond the traditional boundaries of MES and deliver on the vision of convergent technology that accelerates the entire supply chain," said Angelo Stracquatanio, CEO & Co-founder of Apprentice. "Our customers are recognizing that traditional software vendors can't innovate fast enough to keep up with the rapid change happening in life sciences."

Since this assessment has been completed, Apprentice raised an additional $65 million in funding led by ICONIQ Growth to sustain its incredibly rapid pace of innovation and released a new product, CMN. CMN knits together the disparate teams and sites across internal and external manufacturing to manage and accelerate production from one centralized platform.

With a total of $207M in raised capital and a year of outstanding growth recognized by the Inc. 5000 and Deloitte Fast 500 as one of the fastest-growing companies in America, Apprentice plans to continue building international support for its multinational customers.
