Cinemark is now accepting online pre-orders for their Scream 6 products the Ghostface popcorn tub and the Ghostface Beverage Buddies

The Cinemark theatre chain has been going all-out with their promos for the upcoming slasher sequel Scream 6, which is set to reach theatres on March 10th. Cinemark theatres have been offering Ghostface plushies and Ghostface “beverage buddies”, as well as popcorn tubs that are shaped like the masked head of the Ghostface killer. As of two weeks ago, they started accepting online pre-orders for the Ghostface popcorn tubs at THIS LINK. The pre-order lasts through March 17th, and the popcorn tubs will be shipped out to buyers (international orders included) in August. Now Cinemark has also started accepting pre-orders for the Scream 6 Ghostface Beverage Buddies, and you can pick up a pair of those at THIS LINK for the price of $23.99!

Directed by Scream 2022 directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett from a screenplay by Scream 2022 writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, this one will show us what happens when the four survivors of the Ghostface killings leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.

Those four survivors are the returning Scream 2022 characters played by Melissa Barrera (as Samantha Carpenter), Jenna Ortega (as Samantha’s sister Tara Carpenter), Mason Gooding (as Mindy’s brother Chad Meeks-Martin), and Jasmin Savoy Brown (as Mindy Meeks-Martin). They’re seeking to start a fresh chapter in New York City… but while the story is set in New York, the movie was filmed in Montreal.

Also in the cast are franchise regular Courteney Cox (as Gale Weathers), Scream 4 star Hayden Panettiere (as Kirby Reed), and new additions Dermot Mulroney as Detective Bailey, Samara Weaving as Laura, Tony Revolori as Jason, Liana Liberato as Quinn, Josh Segarra as Danny, Jack Champion as Ethan, and Devyn Nekoda as Anika. Henry Czerny is also in there, playing an unspecified role.

Notably missing is Neve Campbell, who was asked to reprise the role of franchise heroine Sidney Prescott in Scream 6, but passed on it due to a pay dispute.

Vanderbilt is producing Scream 6 with Paul Neinstein and William Sherak for Project X Entertainment. Original Scream screenwriter Kevin Willamson serves as executive producer alongside Chad Villella, Ron Lynch, Cathy Konrad, Marianne Maddalena, and Spyglass’s Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre.

Leaders of online ADHD testing and assessment will discuss turning startups into long-term successes and what can be learned about mental health.

Zachariah Booker, CEO and co-founder of ADHD Online, the leader in online ADHD testing and assessment, and Mentavi Health COO Keith Brophy will take part in panels during Austin's South-by-Southwest (SXSW) festival.  

Booker will take part in the panel titled "Scaling in the Midwest," which will delve into the rapidly growing Midwest startup scene and how new companies based far from the coasts can sustain growth and foster long-term success. The panel will be Saturday, March 11, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at event venue Half Step at 75 1/2 Rainey Street.

"It is an honor to participate in not only the SXSW festival but also to discuss what it takes to not only get a startup off the ground but to make it successful for the long haul," Booker said. "ADHD Online has seen incredible growth since we founded the company in 2018, and I am eager to share what we've learned in the process at a premier national festival like SXSW." 

Booker is well-qualified for the panel, as he was named a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year from Ernst & Young LLP for 2022 in Michigan and Northeast Ohio.

One goal of the panel is to examine how startup founders have taken different routes to growing their companies. The other panelists are Kim Lewis, CEO of CurlMix; Katy Lind, manager of startup ecosystem partnerships at Zendesk; and Lindsay Tjepkema, CEO of Casted. 

The Midwest scene is seeing a resurgence in startups since COVID, as recent data found that capital invested in the region has doubled from around $10 billion from June 2019 to June 2020, to $20 billion ending June 2021.

Brophy will take part in a panel discussing some of the challenges facing mental health and how Mentavi Health, one of the nation's leading mental health tech firms, is looking to change the narrative.

Joining Brophy will be Booker; Dre Wallace, CEO of Opnr; and Peadbo CEO Keith Cheney.

iQuanti: For anyone trying to figure out how loan payments work, determining the most affordable payment plan can be overwhelming. Luckily, there are a number of loan payment options available to fit nearly any budget.

It can be helpful to use a loan payment calculator to get an accurate estimate of what your loan payments would look like under each plan. Take your loan balance and annual interest rate into consideration when making your selection so you can make the best choice for your financial situation. 

In this article, we'll explain five different types of loan payment plans and when to apply for them.  

1. Deferments and forbearance 

Borrowers who struggle to make monthly installment payments do have alternative options for repayment. One is to ask for a deferment, which takes the next payment and moves it to the end of the loan term, essentially giving you a month off. Another is forbearance, which is a request to freeze payments due to financial difficulties.  

2. Extended Payment Plan 

Some lenders offer extended repayments for borrowers with over a certain amount in total debt. The extension simply stretches the term of the loan by a certain number of years. For instance, a five-year loan where you're paying $300 a month could be extended out to ten years, cutting that monthly payment in half. This is also known as loan refinancing.   

3. Graduated Payment Plan  

This type of payment plan is designed for borrowers in lower income brackets who expect to make more as they progress through their career path. Graduated payments are common in the student loan sector, where new graduates take entry-level jobs at companies they can grow with. Lenders know their income will go up, so they're willing to work with them.

4. Income-Based Payment Plan 

Income-based payment plans are exactly what they sound like. The amount of your monthly installment payment is based on your income. Unlike graduated payments, income-based payments are capped at a certain percentage of discretionary income, so the number could go up or down each month, depending on your financial circumstances.  

5. Pay-As-Your-Earn Plan (PAYE) 

PAYE plans are the big brother of income-based plans. The cap percentage is lower, and interest is limited to 10% of the principal amount owed. You generally won't see this with traditional loans, but students should investigate it. Most student loan lenders offer PAYE or income-based payment plans for student loan borrowers.    

The Bottom Line  

Missed payments on an installment loan can have a negative impact on your credit score and affect your ability to borrow in the future. Some of the options we've listed here may not be available from your lender. If they are, you may not see them advertised. Ask your lender about deferments and forbearance. Extended payment plans, graduated payment plans, income-based payment plans, and PAYE plans can also provide financial relief when you need it.  

Whether you're paying off a personal loan, student loan, or consolidation loan, it's important to research alternative payment options when it looks like you're falling behind. Don't wait until you've already missed a payment.

OneMain Financial: The internet is a wonderful source of information. Unfortunately, not everything that's published online is accurate. Word-of-mouth information can be even more unreliable. That said, there are many myths about getting a personal loan, and no surprise, many are simply not true. Here are some of the most common such myths:  

Myth #1: Personal loans take a long time to process 

This might have been true twenty years ago. With today's technology, personal loans can be approved and processed the same day, with funds transferred in as little as twenty-four hours. The transaction speed depends on the lender, but it's rare to find a lender that takes a long time to process a loan.   

Myth #2: Personal loan approval requires a high credit score 

This is another myth. Some lenders specialize in serving applicants with poor credit scores. Banks and credit unions will work with borrowers with less-than-perfect credit if they can prove a legitimate income source and have a low debt-to-income ratio. Online lenders may have even more lenient requirements.  

Myth #3: Personal loans require collateral  

There are different types of personal loans. A secured loan requires the borrower to pledge collateral. Examples of this type of loan include car loans and mortgages, where the purchased vehicle or home is the collateral. Unsecured loans don't require collateral. Typically, these loans are taken out for situations like debt consolidation or to pay emergency expenses.  

Myth #4: Personal loans have high-interest rates 

This is too much of a blanket statement to be true. Some personal loans may have higher interest rates if the applicant has a low credit score or thin credit history. Some lenders charge more than others. On average, personal loans can be affordable, and in most cases, they cost significantly less than the finance charges associated with credit card debt.   

Myth #5: Personal loans can't be paid off early 

Some lenders may charge a fee for early repayment, but this doesn't mean the borrower can't pay the loan back early. Early repayment can sometimes be the right move to save on interest charges and fees. If the personal loan is a home mortgage, prepayment fees are prohibited by federal law, so the homeowner can pay off their home loan whenever they choose.   

Myth #6: Only banks offer personal loans 

Banks and credit unions are not the only entities offering personal loans. Online lenders are part of a global digital lending market expected to reach $20 billion by 2027. Prospective borrowers have many options to choose from if they need a personal loan.   

Myth #7: Self-employed individuals can't get a personal loan   

This myth deters independent contractors and small business owners who need funds. Lenders want proof of income to approve applicants for loans. That proof doesn't need to be a W-2 form or the latest pay stubs. Self-employed individuals can provide bank statements or 1099s to satisfy the income requirement. 

The Bottom Line 

Don't buy into the myths. Much of what is written on the internet about personal loans is simply not true. They don't take long to process; a high credit score and collateral are not always required, and interest rates vary from lender to lender. Remember what is true: personal loans can be acquired from online lenders, paid off early, and available to self-employed individuals.

Nearly a year has gone by since Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, the showrunners of the Showtime series Yellowjackets, told Variety that they were calling season 2 of the series “The Winter of Their Discontent.” Yellowjackets season 2 is now set to begin airing on March 26th (or you can catch it streaming and On Demand two days earlier, on March 24th), and a poster has arrived online to offer a preview of this crazy winter. Christina Ricci and Juliette Lewis star in Yellowjackets, which is is described as “equal parts survival epic, horror story, and coming-of-age drama.” The story centers on a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the Ontario wilderness. The series will chronicle their descent from a complicated but thriving team to warring, cannibalistic clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.

Created, written, executive produced by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, the series also stars Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Ella Purnell, Sammi Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Steven Krueger, Amy Okuda, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Courtney Eaton, and Liv Hewson.

New cast additions in Yellowjackets season 2 will include Elijah Wood (the Lord of the Rings trilogy), Lauren Ambrose (Servant), Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Nicole Maines (Supergirl), François Arnaud (The Borgias), Nia Sondaya (Truth Be Told), and guest star Jason Ritter (Freddy vs. Jason).

Ricci and Hanratty play the present and teenage versions of Misty, “the Yellowjackets’ equipment manager. Eager to please and easy to overlook, Misty’s abundance of team spirit belies a hidden dark side.” Lewis plays the present day version of a character named Natalie, with Sophie Thatcher playing the teenage Natalie. “Despite her natural talent, Natalie’s punk rock spirit and habit of finding trouble make her the unlikeliest member of the team. As an adult, Natalie struggles to quiet the demons that still haunt her from her time in the wilderness.” Purnell’s character is Jackie, “the Yellowjackets’ magnetically charismatic, effortlessly popular, occasionally entitled team captain.” Lynskey and Nelisse are the present and teen versions of a character named Shauna. “25 years later, Shauna is on a mission to reclaim her agency — her life — while doing everything in her power to keep her darkest secrets safe.” Krueger plays Ben Scott, “the assistant coach and the object of many an unrequited crush.” Okuda is Cat Wheeler, “a history teacher recruited to bolster the female presence on the coaching staff, despite knowing literally nothing about soccer.” Cypress and Brown are both playing the character Taissa, “the star player on the Yellowjackets squad; now, 25 years later, her political ambitions threaten to derail the survivors’ pact of secrecy.” Hewson and Ambrose play Yellowjackets team member Van. Eaton and Kessell play team member Lottie, who was forced to go off her anti-psychotic medication after the plane crash. Maines is playing Lisa, “an associate of Adult Lottie, who is trying to recover from past trauma”. Arnaud is playing Paul, “a New York writer and secret boyfriend of Coach Scott who reminds Coach Scott of what might have been”. Sondaya replaces Keeya King as Teen Akilah. Wood’s character is Walter, “a dedicated Citizen Detective”.

Uncork’d Entertainment has released a trailer for the documentary Back to the Drive-In, coming to digital and VOD next month

I love going to see movies at the drive-in theatre – in fact, if given the choice between going to an in-door theatre or a drive-in theatre, I’d choose the drive-in most of the time. It’s very difficult to beat the option of getting to watch two movies for the price of one from the comfort of your car. And given my appreciation for the drive-in experience (and for drive-in critic Joe Bob Briggs), I’m glad to see that Uncork’d Entertainment will be giving a drive-in tribute documentary called Back to the Drive-In a digital and VOD release on March 14th. You can watch a trailer for the documentary in the embed above.

Directed by April Wright, Back to the Drive-In has the following synopsis: BACK TO THE DRIVE-IN takes viewers behind the scenes to visit eleven unique family-owned drive-ins across the country – including L.A’s Mission Tiki, the Field of Dreams Drive-In, and the Wellfleet in Cape Cod – to experience their passion and determination to keep their theaters alive. It’s a story of human resilience.

The documentary previously had a theatrical release, during which it played at many drive-in theatres and racked up some rave reviews. Interviewees in the documentary include D. Edward Vogel, Dwight Grimm, and Leigh Van Swall.

Also let us know if you have ever been to a drive-in theatre – and if you have, share some of your favorite drive-in experiences. While I enjoy going to see newly released movies at the drive-in, I have also been able to attend some all-night classic horror movie marathons at drive-ins as well, and those were really fun to sit through. Especially since the drive-ins I went to would allow customers to bring their dogs, so I was able to watch awesome movies from my car and enjoy some delicious food from the concession stand, with my dogs relaxing in the car with me the whole time.
