GrowthZone, provider of association management software, has released its 2023 Medical & Healthcare Association Survey results.
The survey polls medical and healthcare association professionals on membership practices including retention and recruiting; innovation and initiatives; revenue; and more.
While over half of respondents say engagement is about the same as last year, lack of engagement is listed as one of the top reasons for members not renewing.
"66% of those polled believe their members recognize the unique value of their organization," said John Cook, GrowthZone Senior Vice President of Marketing. "It is our goal to support these association professionals with the technology tools to engage members and increase revenue."
Conducted in the fourth quarter of 2022, the survey was sent by email and received responses from 115 medical and healthcare professionals across North America.

SKY-HERO and AARDVARK have expanded their Tactical Robotics Suite by adding three new accessories and payloads to the current system. A new Tactical Wrist Monitor system, Typhon distraction device payload, and LED/LASER payload have joined the versatile list of equipment in the SKY-HERO Tactical Robotics Suite.
SKY-HERO's newest accessory, the Tactical Wrist Monitor, allows for the sharing of situational awareness by providing each team member with the ability to view the real-time video streams of up to four different LOKI and SIGYN systems. The monitor features a 2.7-inch, high-res display with individual channel buttons. Team members can switch between the live video feeds of deployed vehicles, even on scrambled channels, without regard for what the pilot is seeing or operating. With a 150-minute run time, wireless scrambled video, and NLOS 150m reception range, the Tactical Wrist Monitor broadens the use of the system's multiple devices and provides situational awareness for the entire team.
The new Typhon Noise Flash Diversionary Device (NFDD) payload and SKY-HERO LED payloads — designed to provide deceptive diversions to enhance operator safety — have also been added to the Tactical Robotics Suite. These payloads are indispensable tools that facilitate safe entry into hostile environments and distract suspects. Each of these payloads features a plug-and-go design and can operate on both LOKI and SIGYN.
Built in conjunction with Typhon in the UK, the Noise Flash Diversionary Device (NFDD) payload acts as a non-lethal, multi-shot distraction system, capable of producing a 165dB report as either single shots or as a burst. The pilot and other operators can initiate this payload through the SKY-HERO GCS or with SKY-HERO's new Remote Trigger system.
Built-in conjunction with top SKY-HERO users, the LED payload is a multi-function, selectable payload providing bright white light, colored LEDs, and a designating green laser in a single device. Designed to distract, temporarily disorient, and confuse suspects, the payload's high-intensity front LEDs can be used as a solid source of bright white or as a disorienting high-intensity strobe. The programmable colored LEDs can be used as a distraction or to indicate the drone is law enforcement. The powerful green laser pointer can designate targets or get suspects' attention.
The SKY-HERO Tactical Robotics Suite is the world's most widely used tactical robotics system. It combines the power of the LOKI Mk2 tactical drone, the SIGYN Mk1 ground robot, and integrated payloads to operate from a single GCS. The Tactical Robotics Suite allows teams to scout unknown areas, reduce risk to operators and share situational awareness.
The Tactical Robotics Suite is built by SKY-HERO and sold exclusively in North America by AARDVARK.

The National Football League (NFL) and NGL mitú announced a partnership today to create and amplify original content that combines the passion of the NFL with NGL mitú's unparalleled reach and authenticity in the Latino community.
The NFL will create more than 20 pieces of custom NFL El Snap content, and mitú, which merged with NGL Collective earlier this year, will amplify the content across its social platforms, the number one digital destination for Latinos in America. The NFL has the largest Latino fanbase of any sport in the U.S., with more than 53% of fans under the age of 35. The league now combines forces with NGL's best-in-class ad network and mitú's industry-leading content destination to continue providing the Latino community with content made by and for them.
"The NFL/NGL mitú partnership signals and showcases the connection and intersection between football culture, Latino culture and pop culture," said Marissa Solis, NFL SVP Global Brand and Consumer Marketing. "The influence of the Latino community on mainstream culture is the reason why we're taking custom curated NFL content born of our newly developed social platform NFL El Snap and leveraging mitú's large scale social footprint and content studio to bring NFL fans even closer to the game. With the power of mitú, our NFL Snap content will be placed at the heart of where bicultural NFL fans live on a daily basis."
NGL mitú will optimally position the game, its players and La Cultura deeper in the ever-growing Latino fanbase of the NFL. With its culture creators at mitú and its ability to amplify content over its culture-spreading ad network at NGL Collective, the company serves as a dual partner to the NFL. The first custom piece for NFL El Snap will be a 13-part social meme series leveraging the fandoms of fútbol and football stretching out to Super Bowl LVII. The second series is a five-part short-form video called, "Latinos Don't Do Basic Fandom," where mitú will source Latino super fans to create social features. Cementing its 360-degree approach, the partnership will also use the newly released "NFL | Por La Cultura Mixtape Vol. 1" - a curated list of 10 Latin music tracks developed in partnership with NEON16 that leverages modern Latin artists and sounds. The music will be used at the league and club levels throughout the season, enhancing in-game elements and marketing activations.
Joe Bernard, Chief Revenue Officer of NGL mitú said, "Over 75% of the NFL's social audience today is under the age of 35, and Latinos are the most engaged among them, so it makes sense that we would partner with them to connect our unparalleled audience network and mitú's reach as the top digital U.S. Latino community. This partnership is a demonstration of the combined power of NGL Collective and mitú from our merger earlier this year and a validation of our pre-eminent market position for partners nationwide. The NFL's partnership is a case study in how to reach Latino fans with authenticity and credibility, amplifying the power and excitement of American Football."
NGL mitú The recently merged companies of NGL Collective and mitú are together the leading U.S. Latin media and entertainment company. Combined, they connect advertisers with the Latin audience in-language, in-culture and in-context, produce hundreds of pieces of original content, and have the largest consumer-facing digital footprint for Latinos in America. NGL and mitú are dedicated to authentic, credible reach and messaging for the New Generation Latin majority driving growth in America. No company knows that community better, or speaks to them more authentically, or has as large a reach as the combined companies of NGL and mitú. Our end-to-end offerings span ad networks, social media, content studios, and business solutions. www.nglcollective.com
Legacy Suite, a leading provider of digital asset preservation services, announces the airing of its first commercial, which premiered on Jan. 3, 2023. The commercial draws attention to the over $140 billion in digital assets projected to be lost yearly, with billions more lost in unclaimed assets, according to a 2021 New York Times article.
"We are thrilled to launch our first commercial and share our message with a wider audience," said Gordon Bell, CEO of Legacy Suite. "With more and more people conducting their business dealings, managing assets, and leading their lives online, it's becoming increasingly important for people to take steps to preserve their digital assets. Legacy Suite is here to help."
The commercial, which is airing on major television networks and streaming services, illustrates how Legacy Suite can help individuals and businesses preserve their digital assets. It humorously encourages viewers to get life's affairs in order before it's too late.
A traditional will lacks the functionality to hold private information, becoming public record once filed in probate court, making them ill-suited for holding private keys to cryptocurrency and NFT wallets. Utilizing smart contracts, Legacy Suite offers the ability to create a Crypto Will™️ and NFT Will™️, providing detailed instructions for accessing wallets and exchanges to a designated Digital Executor™️. These documents remain private until the passing of the creator and are only shared as instructed.
More planning is required for digital assets to ensure these assets' safe and secure transfer to loved ones. Built on the blockchain, Legacy Suite offers state-of-the-art security and advanced archival technology, ensuring digital assets will be safe and accessible for generations to come. The company's team of experts also provides personalized consulting and support to help you navigate the complexities of digital asset preservation.
"We're proud to be leading the industry when it comes to protecting digital assets, and we are committed to helping our customers protect the memories and important documents that matter most to them," adds Bell.

U.S. Hunger is teaming up with Lipton to make nutritious meals more accessible for those in need. Lipton has committed to providing 5,000 boxes of heart-friendly food through USH's food assistance delivery program, Full Cart.
LONGWOOD, Fla. - January 17, 2023 - (Newswire.com)
U.S. Hunger (USH) is teaming up with Lipton to make nutritious meals more accessible for those in need. Lipton has committed to providing 5,000 boxes of heart-friendly food through USH's food assistance delivery program, Full Cart.
Of families requesting food assistance through Full Cart, 73.5% live with at least one chronic illness, 33.1% live in a food desert, and 42.6% report a lack of transportation access to grocery stores1. As a brand working to create a world where well-being is always within reach, Lipton supports programs like Full Cart, which tackles these barriers head-on by delivering heart-friendly boxes of food directly to the front doors of families in need.
2,500 families in select markets (Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Miami, Montgomery, Nashville, and New York City) will receive two boxes of heart-friendly food, alongside nutritious meal recipes to help educate families on how to make easy, affordable, family meals at home. Each box will contain Lipton Unsweetened Green Tea and Unsweetened Black Tea. Unsweetened tea is a budget-friendly beverage that can also help support a healthy heart with its combination of flavonoid content, hydration, and zero calories and zero added sugars2. Tea is one of the best sources of flavonoids, which are natural, dietary compounds associated with heart health benefits3. "Innovative partners like Lipton, who put their client's stories, experiences, and needs at the center of its efforts, is what we know will finally move the needle on solving food and nutrition inequity," said Rick Whitted, CEO of USH.
USH is committed to listening, documenting, and preserving the real-life stories of those affected by food insecurity. These collected voices provide the insight required to address root causes and drive lasting change. The organization's proprietary data platform, Impact Manager, offers a unique point of view that enables partners to better engage in holistic health outcomes. USH is excited to continue seeking and growing partnerships like this, with brands dedicated to understanding the social determinants of health. The organization has distributed meals in 53 countries, and every state of the U.S. (including Puerto Rico).
Each holiday season, sentiments of kindness and goodwill appear everywhere, from email signatures and greeting cards to advertisements, but after the season passes, business as usual typically resumes. However, ASTA-USA Translation Services, a corporate language service provider translating documents for organizations in many sectors, has noticed a shift in the types of content it has been called upon to translate in a post-COVID world.
"In the past, materials that were uplifting, positive, and charitable were generally reserved for our nonprofit clients, whereas our corporate clients, then and now, request translations of materials like HR policy and operations manuals or legal contracts," said Alain J. Roy, president and founder of ASTA-USA Translation Services. "We didn't see an unusually large demand for translations of documents related to charitable contributions or initiatives until we found ourselves amid a global pandemic. Surprisingly, this trend has continued in the years after, with an improved focus on matters like community outreach, sustainable operations, and overall corporate social responsibility."
Whether organizations are launching campaigns to reduce their carbon footprint within their day-to-day operations, providing school students with much-needed supplies, or donating food to local animal shelters, ASTA-USA Translation Services provides these companies with the means to communicate their partnerships, plans, and initiatives to people around the world.
ASTA-USA Translation Services happily provides favorable rates to organizations that place a focus on supporting various communities and socially responsible endeavors. Limited knowledge of languages that are foreign to one may pose communication barriers, but the language of compassion proves to be universally understood, Roy noted.
Every day, corporations and governments of all sizes rely on the expertise of ASTA-USA to translate their important written materials, and to provide real-time, live, human interpreting services. Headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyoming, ASTA-USA's Translation Directors and Professional Translation Teams are based all over the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Asia, South America, Latin America, and Africa.

HEIDELBERG, Germany - January 16, 2023 - (Newswire.com)
BioMed X, an independent German biomedical research institute, announced today the extension of its ongoing research collaboration with AbbVie. This marks the launch of the first BioMed X Institute in the US, to be located in New Haven, Connecticut. Following a first joint research project on Alzheimer's disease at the BioMed X Institute in Heidelberg, Germany, the new US-based research collaboration will focus on immunology and tissue engineering.
"Extending our successful partnership with AbbVie to our new site in the US is a big milestone for our institute," said Christian Tidona, Founder and Managing Director of BioMed X. "We are grateful to be able to bring our unique innovation model to New Haven and Yale University, one of the top places in the world for groundbreaking discoveries in biomedical research," added Tidona.
The new BioMed X Institute will be managed by Mark Johnston, an experienced biotech entrepreneur and business leader who recently joined the BioMed X family. "My role is to synergize the BioMed X know-how with the invaluable local resources in New Haven to add a new dimension to the global BioMed X network," explained Johnston. Neighboring the historic campus of Yale University, the US branch of BioMed X will be embedded in the New Haven life sciences hub. "Yale is devoted to academic leadership as well as global strategic partnerships to foster innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit. We welcome BioMed X to our biosciences community and appreciate the opportunities this alliance ushers in, including cooperation with international industry partners and networking with the European biotech ecosystem," said Josh Geballe, Managing Director at Yale Ventures.
BioMed X was founded 10 years ago on the campus of one of Europe's most renowned universities in the life sciences and medicine, the University of Heidelberg, operating at the interface between academia and industry. With its unique innovation model, BioMed X identifies the world's best early career academic scientists and relocates them to a BioMed X institute to solve a major challenge in biomedical research in close collaboration with a global pharmaceutical company.
Our industry's understanding of human disease biology is limited by the availability of relevant model systems that truly mirror the complexity of diseased human tissues, which hampers drug discovery and development. There are currently no good ex vivo models available involving human immune cells migrating through an organotypic human tissue microenvironment and recapitulating the molecular processes that typify human disease both spatially and temporally. Such models would allow for the generation of new insights into human disease biology, the identification and validation of new drug targets, and the development of new therapeutic concepts for the treatment of immune-mediated inflammatory conditions.
The current partnership with AbbVie is focused on the development of a new tissue engineering platform to produce complex human ex vivo models (disease-on-a-chip) from primary human cells and tissues to study human tissue inflammation. Interested candidates who would like to start or join a new fully funded research group at the BioMed X Institute in New Haven are invited to apply by submitting a project proposal via the BioMed X Career Space https://career.bio.mx/call/2023-NHV-C01 before March 12, 2023.
"AbbVie is encouraged by the potential of this collaboration with BioMed X to change the paradigm in drug discovery and expand the understanding of human disease biology," said Timothy Radstake, Executive Director and Head of Early Immunology Discovery at AbbVie.
