Jack Black is getting the band back together, announcing there will be a School of Rock reunion later this year.

They don’t need no education, but they may head back to the classroom anyway, as Jack Black has assured fans that there will be a School of Rock reunion this year to celebrate the movie’s 20th anniversary.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Black said this was as good a time as any to have a School of Rock reunion. “All those kids–dig this–they were 10 years old when we made that movie and now they’re all, like, 30…We’re gonna get together and have a 20-year anniversary. We like to jam. I’m looking forward to seeing all of the grownups from School of Rock.” Of note, there was also a 10-year reunion a decade ago that featured the cast attending a screening and even taking the stage to perform a few numbers.

A School of Rock reunion would certainly be deserved, as the movie has endured solidly for two decades, developing a bit of a cult status that has resulted in a Nickelodeon TV series and a Tony-nominated Broadway musical. Black, too, is a major supporter of the movie, saying it holds a spot near and dear and calling it the highlight of his career. Certainly that would also be the case for much of his supporting adolescent cast, which includes Miranda Cosgrove (“Tinkerbell”), Caitlin Hale (“Blondie”), Joey Gaydos Jr. (“Zack-Attack”), Rivkah Reyes (“Posh Spice”), and so many more, hopefully most of whom will join the reunion. Tragically, Kevin Clark, who played drummer “Spazzy McGee” died in 2021.

What the School of Rock reunion will be remains unknown, but, unfortunately, it seems like it won’t be the spectacle rock show we’d want, as Black told ET he’ll post pictures and videos online, implying it might not be a ticketed show or fundraiser (ala Spinal Tap’s 2020 reunion). Still, no matter the scale, the nostalgia will be felt, just as it was when the gang from The Little Rascals had their own small 20th anniversary reunion back in 2014, joining together to recreate the movie’s poster.

Fall star Grace Caroline Currey is interested in returning to star in the sequel to director Scott Mann’s survival thriller

A few weeks ago, we heard that director Scott Mann and the producers at Tea Shop Productions are developing a sequel to the survival thriller Fall (watch it HERE) now that the film has become an international success on the Netflix streaming service. Fall star Grace Caroline Currey is currently doing the press rounds because she plays a role in Shazam!: Fury of the Gods, and during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter she indicated that she would be interested in coming back for the Fall sequel.

Scripted by Scott Mann and Jonathan Frank, Fall had the following synopsis: For best friends Becky and Hunter, life is all about conquering fears and pushing limits. But after they climb 2,000 feet to the top of a remote, abandoned radio tower, they find themselves stranded with no way down. Now Becky and Hunter’s expert climbing skills will be put to the ultimate test as they desperately fight to survive the elements, a lack of supplies, and vertigo-inducing heights.

Currey was joined in the cast by Virginia Gardner (Halloween 2018), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead), and Mason Gooding (Scream 2022).

When asked about the Fall sequel, Currey replied, “I am definitely excited about the idea of that. It’s been a surprise to see how much people love that movie and how it’s had a little bit of a wildfire on streaming platforms. And for the first time, people are coming up to me in public and going, ‘You look like that girl who was stranded on the tower.’ So it’s wild, and I don’t think we expected it to get such a loving response. It definitely makes us happy just because we didn’t think we were gonna have a movie when we were shooting it. It was such a nightmare just trying to get the movie shot. Fall was the most challenging project I’ve ever worked on in my life, and I’ve never grown so much from a project. So the idea of getting to return would definitely be really cool, and I’m sure it would try to one-up the first one, which is a little scary to think about.“

The Hollywood Reporter’s Brian Davids said, “It’s tough because I want you to come back, but at the same time, I can’t imagine your character would want to climb a ladder again, let alone another mountain or tower.” To which Currey responded, “I know, right? She needs therapy so badly. (Laughs.)“

It’s not certain if Currey will be involved with the Fall sequel, but bringing her character back is one of the options on the table. Producers James Harris and Mark Lane are hoping to “get moving” on the film later this year.

Marvel Studios reveals when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be released on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.

The latest Ant-Man sequel may not have been a box-office success, but perhaps it will find a second life for viewers at home. Marvel Studios announced today that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be released on Digital on April 18th, followed by a 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on May 16th.

Screenwriter Jeff Loveness has confessed that he was shocked by the negative reviews the sequel received. “To be honest, those reviews took me by surprise,” Loveness said. “I was in a pretty low spot… Those were not good reviews, and I was like, ‘What the …?’” Loveness added, “I’m really proud of what I wrote for Jonathan [Majors] and Michelle Pfeiffer. I thought that was good stuff, you know? James Gunn comments on a possible Marvel/DC crossover, but adds that such a team-up is years away if it ever happens.

Could Iron Man cross paths with Batman? Might Spider-Man trade quips with The Flash? Perhaps Thanos and Darkseid could have a chat about the Anti-Life Equation over tea and cucumber sandwiches? It’s hard to imagine the two biggest comic-book franchises joining forces on the big screen, but a Marvel DC crossover isn’t completely out of the realm of possibility now that James Gunn has taken over DC Studios.

While speaking with Empire, James Gunn spoke about a possible Marvel DC crossover. “I’m certain that’s more likely now that I’m in charge [at DC],” Gunn said. “Who knows?” Before you start getting too excited, nothing has been seriously discussed, and Gunn said that the DC Universe needs to establish itself before they consider any type of crossover event. “That’s many years away, though,” Gunn said. “I think we have to establish what we’re doing [at DC] first. I would be lying to say that we haven’t discussed it. But all discussions have been very, very light and fun.“

The first major crossover between Marvel and DC arrived with Superman vs The Amazing Spider-Man in 1976. More crossovers would follow, including JLA/Avengers by Kurt Busiek and George Pérez. Thanks to Marvel and DC, not to mention Everything Everywhere All at Once, audiences have become more accustomed to the notion of the multiverse. Will such a crossover ever happen? I wouldn’t place any bets at this point, but it would certainly be an event to behold.

The release of next Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is now less than a month away. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will pick up with our beloved band of misfits as they are settling into life on Knowhere. “But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past,” reads the official synopsis. “Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.” Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will hit theaters on May 5th.

The next DC Universe movie will be The Flash, which James Gunn has claimed is “probably one of the greatest superhero movies ever made.” The film will find Barry Allen using his abilities to travel back in time to change the events of the past, but in doing so, he alters his future and becomes trapped in an alternate reality where there are no superheroes to turn to. The Flash will hit theaters on June 16th, but it will first debut at CinamaCon in Las Vegas later this month.

Grant Gustin reveals what he wants to happen to Barry Allen in the upcoming series finale of The Flash on The CW.

The Flash is currently in the midst of its ninth and final season, but the series finale is quickly approaching. While speaking with TVLine, The Flash star Grant Gustin answered fan questions, including if he was happy with where Barry Allen ends up at the end of the series.

Grant Gustin replied that he was, but shared that he always imagined the series ending with Barry’s death. “When I thought about [The Flash] ending, there was a theory out there that Barry would sacrifice himself to keep the Speed Force alive and become the lightning bolt that inevitably struck him [in the pilot] and create this full circle moment, which I thought was really cool,” Gustin said. “I kinda always wanted him to die a hero’s death in a way, and Eric [Wallace] was very opposed to the idea, and we really wanted to see a happy ending for Barry and Iris. And ultimately, I think that is, probably, looking back at this [season] and as fans revisit it, probably how they’re going to want it to end.“

The Flash star teased that the series finale will finish the story “on a happy note,” but it will also be “left in a place where the story continues,” so who knows what could happen beyond the final episode.

The ninth and final season of The Flash picks up one week after Barry Allen and company defeated the Reverse Flash once and for all, with Barry and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) reconnecting and growing closer than ever before. “But when a deadly group of Rogues descend on Central City led by a powerful new threat, The Flash and his team—Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Meta-Empath Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet), the light-powered meta Allegra Garcia (Kayla Compton), brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight), and reformed cryogenics thief Mark Blaine (Jon Cor)—must once again defy impossible odds to save the day,” reads the official synopsis. “But as The Rogues are defeated, a deadly new adversary rises to challenge Barry Allen’s heroic legacy. And in their greatest battle yet, Barry and Team Flash will be pushed to their limits, in order to save Central City one last time.“
